What exactly is Welance?

How do payments work?

Clients use Welance for free — there is no booking fee. The price of the service itself is paid directly to the professional at the appointment. Professionals pay a simple platform subscription, processed securely by Stripe, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Welance never holds money on behalf of professionals and never stores card data.

Why is there no chat in the app?

By design. Once a booking is confirmed, both sides receive verified contact details and coordinate on the established messaging platform they already use and trust (WhatsApp, LINE, Zalo and others). This keeps personal conversations off our servers entirely — we cannot read what we never have.

How are professionals verified?

Each contact number a professional adds must be verified with a one-time code through that specific platform before their profile can be published. Their working location is verified by GPS and locked. Reviews are tied to completed bookings. Verification confirms identity of contact channels and location — clients should still exercise normal judgement, as with any marketplace.

What happens if a professional doesn't reply or cancels?

Requests have a guaranteed response window. If a professional doesn't respond in time, the request simply expires at no cost. If a professional cancels a confirmed booking, you're free to book another professional right away. Repeated failures to honor bookings lead to suspension.

Do subscriptions renew automatically?

No. Nothing on Welance auto-renews. Professionals purchase platform time (1 week or 4 weeks); when it ends, the profile is simply hidden until they choose to renew. Already-confirmed appointments always remain valid.
